Based on the premise of our corporate philosophy, “We aim to be a company that lasts for 100 years by providing customers with perfect products and the best possible service, ensuring that our products are used for a long time, and continuing to win the hearts of our customers,” this report summarizes the key themes that IKC should address in light of the SDGs.
Policy 4
We aim to realize an environment in which everyone can grow while working with vigor and enthusiasm.
Maintain a balance between life and work, We aim to create a rewarding workplace and structure that fosters ambition.
In order for our company to grow while refining our own technologies with the aim of becoming a 100-year company, it is necessary to actively train and retain young human resources. In addition, since our products require advanced skills of craftsmen, the transmission of these skills is a major issue. For this reason, we have established the "Shuhari Academy," and through an in-house instructor system, we have created an organizational culture in which employees teach and learn from each other, thereby creating an environment that fosters self-reliant human resources. Growth leads to joy. We expect each employee to think about what kind of work he or she can do to make the most of his or her abilities, and to actively learn from each other.
Flexible paid work hours to improve work-time balance.
Work-life balance is an important issue from the viewpoint of enabling each individual to live a life of affluence while working with motivation, and from the viewpoint of realizing a long-term stable social economy. In addition to telework, we have a system that allows employees to take leave in hourly increments of up to five days per year, and we have a reserve annual paid leave system that allows employees to accumulate a portion of their paid leave that can only be carried over for one year. This system helps meet the various needs of employees who want to leave work a few hours early to go to the doctor.
Improve employee satisfaction through maternity, childcare, and nursing care support.
We believe that one of the fundamental roles required of a company is to create a workplace environment in which employees can safely give birth to and raise children who will lead the next generation of society. In order to proactively create a workplace environment where employees can fully demonstrate their abilities while balancing work and child rearing, we have established a generous childcare leave policy. In recent years, an increasing number of male employees have taken childcare leave. In addition, in Japan, where the birthrate is declining and the population is aging rapidly, nursing care is something that is close to everyone's heart. We aim to create an environment in which employees who take on nursing care responsibilities can continue to play an active role in their careers, so that they will not give up their jobs.
