Vacuum pump

What is a NEG pumps?

NEG (Non-Evaporable Getter) is a vacuum pump employing getter action to achieve ultra-high vacuum levels during evacuation. Unlike getter pumps, which create a vacuum through heating and sublimation, NEG pumps adsorb hydrogen and other gas molecules. They then evacuate these molecules by heating and subsequently cooling a thin film that forms on the inner surface of the vacuum component. This pump operates in conjunction with high-vacuum pumps such as turbomolecular pumps etc.

General features

neg2.jpg

NEG (Non-Evaporable Getter) is a phenomenon where gas molecules chemically adhere to chemically active solid surfaces through getter action. It consistently absorbs gases like hydrogen (H2) and carbon monoxide (CO) that outgas from the inner surface of the vacuum chamber after baking, thus establishing and sustaining an ultra-high vacuum. The latest compactly designed NEG models are optimized for both performance and cost efficiency while enhancing functionality. This product facilitates the relatively straight forward creation of ultra-high vacuum environments, suitable for diverse applications, including containers, equipment, and devices that necessitate ultra-high vacuum conditions, such as analytical instruments and sample storage containers etc.
Irie Koken has pioneered 'NEGLAZE,’ harnessing the technology of Oxygen-Free Pd/Ti deposition, and we are delighted to present it as follows.

Product Features

This product functions as is a vacuum pump, capable of achieving an ultra-high vacuum of 10⁻⁸Pa or lower when employed for evacuation or baking in conjunction with a dry pump or turbo molecular pump. NEGLAZE becomes operational and initiates pumping activity by baking temperatures ranging from 125℃ to 175℃ with the recommended temperature being 150℃. This implies NEGLAZE can be activated in the same temperature range as baking and can be utilized without the need for continuous heating.
