IRIE KOKEN CO., LTD. conflict minerals policy

IRIE KOKEN CO., LTD. (hereinafter referred to as we) shall promote non-use of four metals (tantalum, tin, gold, and tungsten) called “conflict minerals” as some mineral resources coming out of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and its neighboring countries are used as a source of funds for armed groups who repeatedly commit massacres, commit violent behavior, commit human-rights violations, etc., from a humanitarian perspective. If the use of such conflict minerals is identified, we shall stop the procurement of materials and parts containing them immediately.
Our business partners are also kindly requested to understand the international circumstances with regard to conflict minerals thoroughly, and strive for responsible procurement of minerals in agreement on banning the use of conflict minerals.
